Soccer Saturday

Lindsey's team had another soccer game Saturday morning. Here are a few videos of them playing.

I hope you can find her in this. She is in a yellow jersey.

Here's video of Lindsey stealing the ball and kicking it out.

Lindsey's 2nd Pinnacle Summit

Lindsey on the 2nd peak of Pinnacle Mountain.

Ever since Laurie took Lindsey to Pinnacle Mt. for spring break, she has been begging to go back. So she and I went over the weekend. Laurie is right, she's a FAST climber. One woman who was going up as we were coming down asked me if she (Lindsey) made it to the top. When I said "yes." she said "well, if she can do it I better be able to!"

Anna Comes To Visit

We kept Anna Saturday while Kevin and Darla went to a wedding. It went much better this time... only fussed when she was hungry and had too take a big poop!

Anna laughes at her silly aunt, uncle, and cousin.

Anna hangs out with uncle Greg.

I like cousin Lindsey.

Cousin Lindsey is SILLY!

Isn't she sweet!

We did our best to get her to laugh. It kind of worked.

I tried to get her to talk... but she's just not ready yet.

A Muddy Soccer Game

Lindsey chases the ball.

Lindsey steals the ball and runs down the field.

After weeks of flooding, tornadoes, and snow, Lindsey played her first soccer game at her soccer fields in a month. However it was REALLY muddy. Less than a week before the fields were under about two feet of water. It made it hard for the girls to run and we kept having to dig mud out of their shoes. Lindsey had a pretty good game... including one fast break at the end of the game where she stole the ball before it was stolen back by the other team.

Soccer, FINALLY!

Lindsey's team listens to their coaches.
Lindsey hangs on to coach Brandon's arm, acting silly!
Lindsey runs after the ball. She's the one in the center in Yellow.

A few weeks ago I posted that Lindsey didn't have soccer because of snow and flooding. Well, this past weekend was the first time she had played soccer in a month. After the flooding, the team we were playing cancelled because they didn't have enough girls to play. Then last week multiple tornadoes touched down and did quite a bit of damage. And, of course, the park where Lindsey plays had damage...trees and power lines down. Then, this week her soccer fields were flooded AGAIN because of heavy rains here... worse than the first time. The soccer league she plays for says they've never had to cancel this many games because of weather. So she wouldn't miss a game this week they moved her games to other fields in the city. They also played two games to make up one they had missed. Of course, since we've had wild weather this spring. It was around 45 degrees and winds gusting up to 35 miles and hour. It was COLD. Her team lost both games.... but they got better as the games went on. I was a little worried they would get tired. Lindsey actually played really well. She usually doesn't kick the ball that much but this time she did. The last play she made she stole the ball and ran halfway down the field before the other team stole the ball back and kicked it out. After that play Lindsey was taken out and she ran to us and collapsed in my chair from exhaustion!
