St. Louis Zoo

On our last day in St. Louis we went to their zoo. It is the best zoo I have ever been to. We were there 7 hours and had to rush to see everything. Lindsey's favorite thing was the sea lions... we saw a show with them and then there was an exhibit with them. She just wanted to sit there and watch them. One of the pictures above is Laurie and Lindsey playing with an otter that was swimming around on the other side of the glass. The picture of the gorilla was interesting. He was laying on his back right below us... just staring at us. I leaned over the rail and took the picture.

City Museum

On the same day we went to the arch, we also went to the City Museum. It's hard to explain what this place is. It's basically a BIG playground for kids that also has an aquarium. On the outside there is a series of wire mazes that reach about 5 stories in the air that lead to an airplane that you can walk through. You may be able to see it in one of the pictures. Then inside there are more mazes that lead into the ceiling.... basically everywhere. We lost Lindsey many times!! In the picture of Laurie and Lindsey on the steps you can see a slide on the left above them (it doesn't look like a slide) that basically is about 3 stories tall... and then to the right... that swirly thing is one of the wire mazes that you can climb through. This place was a parent's nightmare but a kids dream! After 4 hours we had to beg Lindsey to leave.

The Arch

On our 2nd day in St. Louis we went to the Arch. I don't think Lindsey really understood what we were doing until she got there! She was amazed at how tall it was. To ride to the top of the arch 5 people get in these little capsule things (you can see a picture of Lindsey in one above). It's really hot in those things! We had fun at the to looking out the windows at the city.

6 Flags

Our first day in St. Louis we went to 6 flags. Lindsey has never liked characters at amusement parks or mascots at games... big furry things! But for the first time she actually went up to them and had her picture taken with them! She told Sylvester the Cat that she had a cat just like him at home! Of course, she had a lot of fun on the rides, too!

Trip To St. Louis

This summer we decided to take Lindsey to St. Louis for vacation. We flew and it was her second trip on a plane. She wasn't as excited as she was the last year, but she still talked a lot about the small cars and houses...ect.
