A few weeks ago I posted that Lindsey didn't have soccer because of snow and flooding. Well, this past weekend was the first time she had played soccer in a month. After the flooding, the team we were playing cancelled because they didn't have enough girls to play. Then last week multiple tornadoes touched down and did quite a bit of damage. And, of course, the park where Lindsey plays had damage...trees and power lines down. Then, this week her soccer fields were flooded AGAIN because of heavy rains here... worse than the first time. The soccer league she plays for says they've never had to cancel this many games because of weather. So she wouldn't miss a game this week they moved her games to other fields in the city. They also played two games to make up one they had missed. Of course, since we've had wild weather this spring. It was around 45 degrees and winds gusting up to 35 miles and hour. It was COLD. Her team lost both games.... but they got better as the games went on. I was a little worried they would get tired. Lindsey actually played really well. She usually doesn't kick the ball that much but this time she did. The last play she made she stole the ball and ran halfway down the field before the other team stole the ball back and kicked it out. After that play Lindsey was taken out and she ran to us and collapsed in my chair from exhaustion!
