As we do every year, we went to Laurie's parent's house for a few days for Christmas. This year Bradley and Steve came home for Christmas. It was good to see them. We ended up going to Memphis for a few hours with them and left Lindsey at home with Pat Pat and Pop Pop. During that time they got to watch quite a few Hannah Montana episodes!

Christmas Lunch At Our Cousin's New House
After we had Christmas at our house, we went to our cousin's new house to celebrate with my Dad's side of the family. Joe, Danelle, and Riley just moved back home a few weeks ago and they decided to have the family over for Christmas so we could all see their new home. Riley got a Nintendo DS for Christmas like Lindsey did, so they spent the afternoon playing thier games together.

Lindsey and all her dinosaursOn Lindsey's 8th Christmas, she woke up at 6am!! It was still dark outside. She ran into our bedroom and said "I need a drink and I think Santa's already come because there are more presents under the tree now." I asked her to go back to sleep and she said OK. That lasted about 15 minutes and she insisted we get up. She ripped open presents... I asked her what her favorite gift was and she said "all of them." But if I were to guess, I would say her Nintendo DS. We had to rip her nose out of it many times today! Below is a video of her opening the gift that she kept asking for.......

The Enchanted Forest
Saturday we drove through an enchanted forest.... a park that was decorated with Christmas lights. Lindsey really enjoyed this and insisted on sitting up front with us as we drove through. Here are some videos of what we saw.

Lindsey's 1st Grade Christmas Musical
Lindsey had her 1st grade Christmas musical this week. She had a speaking part in it... a year ago she would have never done that, but she did great! It's funny in the video below. She forgets the words but then the part of the song everyone knows... she sings loudly!

Christmas With The Cousins
On Sunday we went home to celebrate Christmas with my grandmother's family. When we were all sitting there... we realized all the grandkids were little girls except for one child. All the little girls sat around giggling the whole time. She got to open one Christmas gift... she got a Cheetah girl's doll.
Lindsey's 7th Birthday
After Lindsey and her friends slid down all the slides and bounced around for the millionth time, it was time to eat the cake and open her gifts. Her cake had horses on it and was half vanilla and half chocolate.... Lindsey loves horses and chocolate. She got a lot of nice gifts... probably her favorites would be a Hannah Montana doll, 3 webkinz, and pete the parrot (that repeats what you say).
Lindsey's 7th Birthday
Lindsey is just a blur as she flies down a slide.
WHEEEEE!
We're all tired!
Lindsey turned 7 on Saturday. I cannot believe it. It's hard to believe 7 years ago our little girl came into the world. Her party was at the Jump Zone. There were about 30 kids there. I tried to do a count, but with all of them running around, it was hard. All I can say is about every 30 seconds we would see Lindsey run by and then after her would be dozens of little people. They all played for an hour an fifteen minutes... jumping on 6 or 7 different inflatables.

Decorating The Tree
This is where this one needs to go.
Where's that santa?
Look at our pretty tree!
It's a tradition in our house to decorate the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. Every year Lindsey gets better at decorating. However, this year she was putting the ornaments on the tree in clumps by catagory.... all the santa's together, all the snowmen together, ect. When I tried to spread them out, she got MAD. It was funny. She said "where did the santa go?" I have no idea how she knew one was gone.
